The Wizard Nebula in Hydrogen Alpha – 25/09/2018

The first of some images taken over the last few months that I haven’t got around to posting yet, this is an image of the Wizard Nebula, NGC7380, in hydrogen Alpha. This is, I always think, one of the best images for looking like it’s name! It really looks like a ghostly wizard in a hat and robes, coming out of the dark through a cloud – complete with nose, eye, hands etc…
I’ll be adding some OIII data to this at some point in the future.
