NGC 6992 – The Eastern Veil Nebula – Dual Colour Narrowband

I added to my previous Ha image (here), and am now really happy to present my first finished colour narrowband mosaic image.  This is NGC 6992, the Eastern Veil Nebula.  Part of the same supernova remnant complex in Cygnus as my previous image of NGC 6960 which is the Western Veil.  It consists of a two-image wide mosaic, captured over the nights of 2rd-5th September 2019.  In total, it consists of 4hrs 25min of Ha and 6hrs 10min of Oiii integration (exposure).  I posted a quick preview of just the Ha image the other day, but this is the completed colour end result with the Oiii combined.

The separate mono images were captured and processed in mono first, then combined to form two separate colour image panes.  These colour images were then combined into a single wide image and then processed as one to get the final result.  It’s quite a long process, but I’m really happy with how its turned out.  I’m really liking the detail and resolution that the mosaic image ends up with, and can certainly say this isn’t going to be my last!
